Hello, my name is Maria Teresa Pratico-Swanson. I’m a divorced mother with two teenage sons. I use my God granted sensibilities as a psychic channel, medium and empath. I believe these sensitivities are my superpowers. The power of love fuels my magic as a shamanic healer and writer. Love is the greatest medicine there is. I have used it to heal myself from many experiences. Its lessons are so very powerful. Living life as a creative force assists me in achieving my soulās purpose while I express myself through writing poetry, hosting this blog, dancing, painting and practicing yoga. My motto is āTriumphing over Traumaā. In 2011, I first became aware that I needed to reconnect with my soul after a suicide attempt. I have explored my mental and emotional health, which led to a more spiritual approach where I find myself today. Many routes have brought me to where I am as a God centered being. The light I receive from Godās love has helped me to heal and see the immense beauty life has to offer. Healing from the human condition, unraveling programming imprinted by others to create a better internal belief system is a never-ending journey. I can now say that I love myself totally. My spirit is free from cover, and I choose to spread love and kindness wherever I roam. My goal is to help heal humanity one heart at a time through writing and the art of shamanism.
I spend a lot of time in nature gazing upon the sky and listening to Godās vision for a more balanced and loving world here on Earth. My soulās spirit adds a dash of insight to my writing and to each of the poems I write. At this time in our world, the natural rhythm has been thrown off drastically between humans and nature. We are seeing an overreaching of power, greed, and over consumption fueled by the illusion of separateness instead of oneness for all living creatures. These behaviors are destroying Mother Earth. May these poems transform us all, sparking the pure love inside each and every human heart to start living and learning from soul, elevating our journey through life and allowing Godās purpose to affect us all.
