My answers to Ace’s questions

1. If your life was a movie, what would the title be?  I would call the movie of my life “Soul Sense” because it’s how I process the world, through all of my senses, compelled and driven by my deep soul. Always evolving, expressing my soul essence through the creative channels of writing, painting, movement, music and the art of shamanism.

2. What’s your favorite song of all time? This is a hard one because music is so very special and dear to me. I love so many songs and they each hold great meaning for me. I guess if I had to choose just one it would be “Eyes of the World” by The Grateful Dead. Traveling with the band in my late teenage years really ignited my soul and began to open my spirit up to the freedom it enjoys now. I live by the phrase, “the eyes are the windows to the soul” and it is how I read others. So much is said by not saying anything at all, just seeing people through their humanity, our common bonded thread. It’s all there in the eyes.

3. Handwrite or type? Handwriting is the style of writing I most prefer and is how I do the majority of my writing. I have multiple journals and I like to use different pens in many colors for the projects I’m working on, coordinated by what they are for. It’s the artist in me I believe. I struggle with technology, I definitely have a love/hate relationship with it.

4. What are three things you can’t live without? Definitely music is #1 for sure, next would be my crystals and lastly paper and pens! All the tools I need for the mind, body and spirit to stay in alignment.

5. Do you believe in telepathy? I absolutely do and have had hundreds of experiences with it. This is the basis for energy transmission and what I continuously study as a shaman dipping into other realms, dimensions and worlds. It’s all available if one keeps an open mind. I know I’m not alone on this one my friends.

6. When have you felt your biggest adrenaline rush? When I gave birth to both of my sons. Each of them came into this world with a different set of circumstances yet both experiences were glorious and incredibly powerful. My sons are my greatest achievements in this life, they are my whole heart walking around in their perfectly imperfect bodies. A close second would be when I was officially anointed a shaman through a life changing sweat lodge ceremony with my mentor and teacher. There are no words to describe the out of this world feeling of ecstasy and exhilaration. No drugs involved just the potent medicine of breath and body powered by Spirit!

7. If there was no internet, do you think the world would be better or worse? This is an extremely interesting question. I’m a person who accepts what is and the grand achievements by my fellow humans will always continue, therefore the invention of our world wide web was inevitable. However, I am old enough to have very fond memories of what the world was like without it. We were more plugged into Mother Earth and ourselves for that matter. I believe the rise of technology has polluted our world tremendously in many aspects. Most importantly, to me, it’s created a constant distraction away from ourselves. The “push a button” instant gratification world we live in now that is supposed to bring us closer together actually isolates us further from one another. Many of us have become addicted to having our faces in screens and expecting everything in life to happen instantaneously which can create more problems than solutions in my opinion. All in all, I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with people all over the world by using the internet.

Here are my questions for the bloggers I nominated:

1. What’s the 1st thing you do in the morning to greet your day?

2. What’s the last thing you do at night to end your day?

3. What was your favorite activity as a child?

4. What makes you feel most alive?

5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

6. If you had a superpower, what would it be?

7. In your opinion, what’s the greatest thing ever invented?

A heart full of transformation

What an exciting time to be alive my dear readers. I’m continuing to embrace all the shifts, the beauty in abundance along with all the challenges these past months have brought me. Sometimes I feel I’m crawling, at times standing completely still yet at other times it’s as though I’m living in fast forward. Boy can transformation be disorienting and confusing but all the way powerful! I’m reminded of a saying my partner uses when he’s feeling good, “I’m all the way live”. I’m definitely feeling that today, all the way🥰

I’m almost halfway to completing the 40 hours of intern hours towards my certification to be a shamanic healer. I’ve finalized my trip to Idaho in early September where I will get to spend time with my teacher/dear sister Lindsey Luna and perform my final ritual ceremony. I’m so excited my dears! I haven’t taken a solo trip like this to that part of the country in over ten years. It’s going to be epic. Especially since for the past few months I’ve spent most of my time in quiet solitude.

Today thankfully the clouds parted and the rain let up. We’ve been experiencing a tropical storm here, they originally predicted a hurricane but thankfully it was downgraded. I love to get out on my bike every day but due to the storms, I’ve been indoors for the past two days. So, having cabin fever, I was  itching to get out in the fresh air so I headed to my favorite park. I was absolutely blown away by the swarms of dragonflies I rode through! They were EVERYWHERE. Here’s what Google says about the dragonfly….

“In almost every part of the world, the dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life”.

This is exactly where I’m at my loves. Allowing God to continue to mold me. As usual, Divine timing is perfect. I made some intentions for the full moon asking God to continue guiding me and strengthen my steps, release any doubts as I lite the paper to burn away what no longer serves me so that I may continue to walk my path without any impediments. I dropped it into my coldron and watched it disintegrate🔥

Oh my dragonflies!

Friday night as I sat by the lake gazing up the beautifully enchanting fullness of Lady Luna, my heart started to ache for my partner. I know he will join me once the time is right but I miss him dearly. These past three months apart from each other feel like three years because of all the personal growth I’ve done in order to become a healer. I wrote two poems in his honor, one Friday night under the moon and the other indoors while listening to the thunderstorm rage outside. Both environments are equally representative of how I feel internally without him. Some days, I’m at peace and acceptance with what must be and others I’m turned up and twisted with sadness and longing to be held in his arms.

“Love for sure”
“Full moon love”

I have learned in some intensely dramatic ways that as much as I want to be in control, I most definitely am not. We must be apart for me to fully take on this role and concentrate on opening myself up to all it asks of me. The dragonflies were a sign that I’m right where I’m supposed to be. My spirit guides and my angels are supporting me always. I lean on that everyday and am never disappointed. My blessings are too many to count.  Life is so beautiful and I’m embracing every second of it.

My oldest son Ty turns 19 on Wednesday. I told him the other day how blessed I am that God chose me to be his mother and also how blessed I am to have him chose me as his mother. He looked at me kind of funny, like surprised I said that. I laughed and reassured him that since the day he was born, I’ve been his student. Both of my boys have taught me more about myself and life than any other experience I’ve had. That’s who I remain always, a student of life. Staying open to where I am and where I’m heading. Stay blessed😊

A piece of peace

I have hit a wall my dear readers with the up and down feelings, uncertainty and Complex PTSD triggers. This post is about my attempts to find just a small amount of peace amid the swirling crisis. I live in Dallas, TX and we just had our shelter in place orders increased until May 30th. I am grateful for my own health and don’t want to come across in any way that doesn’t display that. Now more than ever I am so thankful for my good health🙏

On Saturday night 9:45 PM my time, I took part in the Global Peace Meditation around the world along with over 100,000 other people. The immediate feeling of warmth, comfort and peace filled my soul with so much love. I felt as if I was floating on a cloud, almost out of body. Total peace. Being an intuitive empath at this time is really tricky. Just when I think I am coming back into my own BAM, universal energy strikes me back down. I have really had to limit what I’m seeing and hearing in order just to function lately. I think the rainy weather here isn’t helping. I’m a sun worshiper and I am missing South Florida so much right now😎

I did schedule a video chat, which is a very bright spot in my days as of late. My other emphatic friend Emily, whom I know from Instagram and I spoke for 2 hours yesterday. It made me so happy to interact with another lightworker🌠 and we planned on catching up with each other again towards the end of the week🥰

I also scheduled an energy clearing today with my dear soul sister, Reiki master and shamanic healer Lindsey Luna aka @soul.healing.with.luna on Instagram. I feel better already just knowing her healing relief is on the way to my mind, body and spirit🙌

I did get a bit of a creative burst in the late afternoon and I used it to work on this painting which I accompanied with this poem. In these uncertain times my dear readers, we need so much more love, kindness and understanding of our fellow human. We are all interconnected, we are all in this together as God’s creations. What happens to one of us, affects ALL of us. Please, from the bottom of my heart….take care of each other. Sending so much love, light, enough shadow to get us by, health, safety and most of all peace ❤🌠🦋🌎✌
