Eternal love is the breath of life

My dear readers, I have written often about the self healing techniques, rituals and ceremonies I practice in order to stay connected to my authentic self and to further integrate my soul into my being. Yesterday I took part in another breathquest ceremony that my dear friend Chrissy-Marie hosts via her Voyagers membership group that can be accessed here https://theartofaliveness.mykajabi.com/ Conscious breathing is so beneficial to welcoming in more life force energy which is what brings overall well-being to our body, mind and spirit. Directing such energy helps rid the body of stress and trauma, allowing for further expansion. The more room one can create internally, the more freedom one feels. It’s invigorating my dear ones!

I’ve been taking part in these monthly ceremonies for over ten months. I can firmly attest to the abundance of overall harmony I feel once the release of stagnant energy takes place where trauma has been locked in my body. The areas that are most impacted are the autonomic nervous system (ANS) which is connected to physical processes such as digestion, respiration, heart rate, immune function, and peristalsis. Also the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) which is our fight-or-flight response. For someone like me with CPTSD, this has benefited me most in regulating this response so that I can be more present while helping me focus and meditate much easier.

This information is quoted in an article I read to research conscious breathing and its benefits, and can be found at https://kripalu.org/resources/benefits-conscious-breathing-body-and-mind

“The other branch of the system is the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), often called the “rest and digest” or “calm and connect” system, which allows us to recoup from the stressors of life. If you find yourself breathing slowly and deeply, feeling a sense of calm and peacefulness, your PNS is activated, enhancing digestion, increasing blood flow to the GI track, lowering the heart rate, and enhancing sexual arousal. This system also activates certain parts of the brain, dampening fear-response regions and increasing the reflective, responsive regions. The result? More reflective, conscious behavior and action; an increased feeling of calm; and greater mental flexibility and creativity amid life’s challenges”.

The work I practice as a shaman requires me to read energy on other dimensions and has me dance with irrationality. I’m a storyteller for the soul, therefore it’s important for my being to be as healthy, neutral and well attuned as possible. These breathing techniques have helped shift my own consciousness and behavior in innumerable and priceless ways. I’ve begun teaching the art of shamanism while maintaining a steady client base and by God’s grace I have become quite busy. This week I really needed this breath course to reconnect with my soul, breathe and rejuvenate myself. I took a much needed day off yesterday and enjoyed restful sleep. Being still, feeling calmness and tremendous inner peace is a reward for all the hard work and dedication I give to this craft, my way of life as I walk the shamanic path.

For it is in breathing that we can let go, allowing more truth and love into our being. These little deaths create new beginnings. In the moments one feels anxious and wants to hold (breath) is the exact moment our body desires us to release and breathe. When we feel the urgency to speed up is actually the time we need to slow down. Breathing deep and often, consciously makes all of these actions flow more easily and helps us make more healthful decisions.

These two poems embody how my soul feels. Connecting to etetnal love, which supports all life in the Universe and how vital it is to feel the breath of life. The amount of aliveness one feels is directly related to one’s soul’s health. Healing the soul, connecting all parts of self spreads love throughout our human operating system. This allows us to be as whole as possible and as joyful, peaceful and loving as we want. I highly recommend you try it my dear ones! Breath is life!

Full Moon Fearlessness and Forgiveness

The first full moon of 2021 is upon us dear readers, they call this one a Wolf Moon, which refers to our Native American cultures and their interpretations of the sky’s seasons. Personally, I like to think of this time as a reflection upon my own instincts, pure nature, what needs to be  affirmed, embraced and released. Hello, shadow self and soul integrating healing. At this time I’m observing my need to be forgiving of myself and fearless in my actions moving forward.

And so it is

Embracing both light and shadow aspects isn’t an easy task. It’s a part of my walk as a shaman on the path and how I dance ever more closely with Spirit. Last evening, I was expecting my partner to return from a brief visit back to Dallas when I received word he would be delayed due to the fact he misplaced his ID. Immediately, I turned to my guides and my cards for advice. They assured me that this was just a small delay, the work we have done as a couple has been solidified and he will return. It’s my time to take the pressure off of myself, lay down my sword and cease fighting myself. Being gentle with my being is something that requires patience and practice.

Observing my natural tendency to carry the weight of the world upon my shoulders and hold onto what I perceive as control blocks me from accepting what is while entertaining an uncomfortable level of fear. This affects my self confidence, decision making and causes me to feel fear in moving forward. I believe these cycles are so vital in unraveling our conditioning, embracing more selflove and learning to stay in a more neutral position when I’m viewing myself. Gentleness and kindness foster strength where as harshness and fear create weakness. I embrace all of this as a promise to myself along this healing journey as I continue to liberate my soul. Integration of all my pieces creates balance and harmony. The full moon creates a wonderful opportunity for this.

Mark Nepo writes that, “when we bare our inwardness fully, exposing our strengths and frailties alike, we discover a kinship in all living things….the mystery of being authentic is the only thing that reveals to us our kinship with life”. Being real with myself and others allows me to shine my inwards outwardly. For a woman who spent years hiding, confused and scared of herself for being different and “the weird one”, this speaks to me on so many levels! I don’t need to hide or beat myself up, I get who I am because I accept me. No one else can do this for me and when I can fully be me my dear readers, it gives you permission to fully be you! No more hiding my dear ones, be the best you because our world needs us all.

Dance to your hearts song

This leads me to share with you where I was on Monday. After a freedom feeling bike ride, I went out on my patio, put on some music and danced. Dance makes me feel most alive and is how I cultivate my happy vibes. Life isn’t a dress rehearsal my loves, go out and get it, make your own fun! Happiness and freedom will be yours!

The light within me, recognizes the light within you

My dear readers, many of you who follow me are familiar with my tag line, “In light and in shadow, always with love”. I believe these words with my whole heart because by embracing this idea that there is love to be found in both the light within and the shadow within. Healing allows the integration of our many parts is what becoming whole is all about. The more whole we become, the more acceptance we have of ourselves and for others. This is a practice I believe will heal humanity one heart at a time. There is love within every fiber of my being and within yours my dear ones.

The journey of life is to recognize this, to embrace it and to remain open to every door God invites us to walk through. As humans our natural instinct is to hold on too tightly, resist change and judge ourselves and then others for what we experience. All of life is a never-ending series of happy times, sadness and painful moments leading to peace, an inner bliss that can be revisited again and again. I believe the journey is in discovering how best to weather all of these storms for our highest good, healing and personal well-being.

The image I often return to when I check in with myself daily during the healing rituals I perform is the Tree of Life.

We are all connected 💛

A symbol of personal growth, strength and beauty, the Tree of Life serves as a symbol representing our personal development, uniqueness and individual beauty. Just as the branches of a tree strengthen and grow upwards to the sky, we too grow stronger, striving for greater knowledge, wisdom and new experiences as we move through life. Just as the roots of the tree stretch down into the Earth’s soil, creating a sturdy grounding and stability for the life of the tree, so must we provide ourselves a grounding energy to remain stable and secure within this life along our journey. There are many experiences, situations and moments that cause a shift in the firmness, affecting our standing, yet I believe we are given the opportunity to attune our own hearts, full of love back into our bodies, into our ground providing ourselves with the nurturing love we all deserve and desire for wholeness and wellness.

When I can reflect within my own soul, acknowledging the light God has created within each of us, I am seeing the love and light each one of us shares. I believe every living creature possesses this light. Employing compassion and kindness helps spread this love to others, it begins within me and is cultivated within my own tree. We are all connected within this giant web of life force energy, invisible fibers of light touch us all and can never be destroyed, throughout all of life and into death. Spirit goes on, souls are reborn and the cycle continues.

Held in light and love

As a shaman, I remain in constant awe and wonder of the power of the Light for its ability to heal. Allowing Spirit to guide me, I am a conduit for this light and energy which is what heals us all. Every living thing carries this light, this spirit and is the oneness we are all connected to. Plants, trees, rocks, the elements, animals, fish, birds, reptiles and humans alike. I believe we humans are blessed with higher consciousness and are capable of transcending animal instinct to see this light. It’s my eternal honor to be a modern day shaman, practicing rituals and holding ceremonies that celebrates this light and powerful love. It’s what fuels my magic and is a superpower for healing.

Surrendering to patience, helping love grow

Cultivating patience has always been a challenge for me. As a highly sensitive individual alive today in a culture of urgency and reaction, being patient takes a mindful approach. Meditation is the best tool I have found, putting me in the passenger seat as an observer to my thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Developing a pause button greatly assists me in behaving in a way that aligns more to my authentic spirit and my nature. It’s a delicate dance and at times I fall down while the flood of emotions can get overwhelming and yet what I have learned on my self healing journey are what the lessons within each mistake serve to help me to grow stronger, becoming a better version of myself. Many refer to this as choosing one’s battles.

As an emotional warrior and someone who reads energy it can be emotionally taxing for me to over exert my own energy and interject myself into situations not meant for me. Therein lies the mastery of what I believe about how we are the masters of our own reality and emotional states. My behavior is mine alone and I am the one who must face the consequences of my actions.

I must admit my dear readers to feeling the aspects of my shadow in a much deeper way upon the arrival of my partner. We have spent so much time apart and my fear was that he wouldn’t like the person I am today. In the past few days I have had many outbursts, said things I later regretted saying yet after contemplation, meditation and re-centering can see how triggered my ego had become putting me on the defense. My personality was really on display in ways that I haven’t felt in months. These experiences are uncomfortable and lead me to become overly critical, overly analytical and I find myself trying to carry the weight of the world upon my shoulders in a perfectionist way. Old coping patterns, mindsets and behaviors resurface giving me a opportunity to observe these shadow parts of myself over again with fresh eyes throughthe transformationalprocess I have undergone. This my dear ones is the cycle of healing. My first response was to feel the fear and disapproval of myself stemming from years of emotional pain and traumatic wounding like they were fresh all over again. Ultimately, acceptance of what is becomes the only viable solution for inner peace, balance, harmony and self love.

Integration of shadow

I may not always like everything that I feel all the time yet I understand these are growing pains and are necessary for my partner and I to go through together while we build a stronger, more sound foundation in this new beginning of our relationship. The deep love and acceptance of one another for the different people we are is what comes to the surface healing all. I believe our soul bond and love will carry us through because that is undeniable. He and I have faced many challenges together and I believe that’s what builds a strong relationship. Finding love within the challenges and changes, rediscovering our flow, accepting one another, surrendering to patience and being mindful of how I respond are the keys to mutual joy, peace and love. It’s not always easy yet nothing is when change is unfolding. This meme I came across the other day expresses this idea perfectly.

Word

In the meantime we are being gentle with one another and recognizing that time takes time, a phrase I’ve relied upon often in the past ten years during my self healing journey. I look forward to more walks on the beach, listening to live music, singing together, dancing with one another and lots of laughter. This is the beginning of a beautiful new phase of our relationship. I love you baby, always and forever!

I AM Love Eternal

Over this past year, we all as a collective have faced many challenges. They say character is shaped by how we each handle the challenges we face in life. My own life experiences deliver the greatest lessons. The people I encounter and engage with serve as my best teachers. I believe in the power we each hold inside our hearts to be the best instrument for direction in life. Steven D. Farmer, a shaman that I admire highly, writes about love in this way:

“All wounds stem from the illusion of separation from Source and all of Creation. The route of healing this wound is through cultivating love and compassion for every being on this planet, including yourself. Not a bland standard of unquestioned acceptance, but a heartfelt sense of profound relatedness to whatever you perceive as apart from yourself. True compassion requires not only the feeling of warmth that emanates when you are in touch with your heart center, but in acts of kindness even if this simply means being a fully attentive listener. Respect the fact that your heart is a giver, putting out electrical energy and a receiver, drawing in magnetic energy. These energies are best sensed by attending to the steady flow of your breathing while also noticing your heart area. Righteousness, fear, anger and judgement are some common ways that block your natural desire to love. Forgiveness is not only letting go of judgement, but also seeing through the illusion that you and All-That-Is are separate. Look about you and inside you, and do your best to love whatever you see”.

WOW, I just love that and when I first read it in his book entitled, “Earth Magic” I could feel soul shivers throughout my entire body! We are all interconnected in this web of energy that runs throughout the entire Universe. What I do unto others, I do to myself. All living things require love to exist in harmony and balance. As a shaman, this is a passage I share during my healing sessions. I believe in the power of our hearts, minds and souls interacting with the energy of love for the most profound healing. I write often that I believe love to be the greatest untapped superpower there is. We all have the ability to love, we are made from and of it. We are the Light. My prayer is that each and everyone of us begins to investigate our own soul, engage in loving ourselves for this is what will create change in our world.

Light of Love

Each and everyone of you my dear readers is the I AM of love eternal. Discovering this within myself has changed my life and is what drives me to write, heal and teach others about the beauty life holds for all of us. No matter what you look like, believe in, how much money you have, who you love or any other label this world can slap upon you, you are first and foremost LOVE.

Today my heart is so happy and filled with immense peace because my partner of seven years is arriving here in Florida after a long 6 months of living apart! I have learned so many lessons, uncovered many revelations about myself and experienced innumerable ah-ha moments during his absense in my daily life. I noticed this week while I was preparing for his arrival that there is still an amount of emotion locked inside that I have reserved, not allowing myself to feel fully from my Dad’s passing, until I am in his arms. As an intuitive empath, my own emotions are so deep. Fully feeling them is still a scary proposition for me. There’s definitely a part of me that needs to collapse in his arms and sob.

My mind, body and soul are rejoicing in celebration for his upcoming arrival tonight! I honor his heart and our love bond in these poems. He is my best friend, my greatest companion and the man I love most in the world. I have never felt this way about another human being and I believe I never will again. They say you don’t know what you have until it’s gone and in many ways that has become a fact for me. I have embraced so many aspects of self in his absence, becoming a master shaman and losing my Dad, I feel like a completely different woman today. My heart sings loudly feeling his presence is nearing.

Music of my soul

I calculated that over 4,000 hours have passed since I last saw his handsome face in August for his birthday when I surprised him in Dallas. Each moment has served so many feelings, so many colors painted, songs I both laughed and cried to while dancing….each little bit.

Every. Minute. Every. Hour. Every. Day.

His love enraptures my entire being, crashing into me like a tidal wave. I fell hard and fast upon our first encounter when a mutual friend introduced us. I was just one year into my divorce then and wasn’t looking to get into a relationship. I have always believed that’s when love hits you, crashes into you, when you are least expecting it. We became friends first which was important to me. I remember the day I told him that I loved him like it was yesterday. He didn’t say it back, not at first. He was so overwhelmed by the fact that he had never truly known the kind of love we share and didn’t know what to do with me. He admitted to not being good at love. It has taken us years of healing, as individuals and as a couple to fully embrace our special bond that has lasted lifetimes. I have experienced many visions of our souls past lives together. In many of them he was my master, my teacher and I his apprentice. In this lifetime, I am the master and he my apprentice.

Crashing into my soul with love

I pulled a bunch of very prolific tarot cards this morning all pointing to completion, dreams becoming reality and trust. I have worked really hard on myself in these 6 months. I will continue to do the inner work necessary because I am compelled by soul. I’m an deep, old and noble soul. For me, this is the most humbling way to be seen in the world and an honor. I value the lessons, the steps taken through both pain and bliss, because each and every moment serves as another thread to the tapestry my life is. I told a dear soul sister of mine this today and then wrote this poem.

Soul shining love and light for all
