Many paths lead to healing: This is what mine looks and feels like

There are many paths one can take to improved wellness and inner growth. I have based this entire blog on my own experiences of feeling and healing. My dear soul sister and fellow blogger https://erikakind.me/ created and shared this picture of my mantra “Feeling is Healing”, which deeply touches my heart because I believe our own feelings are the medicine we need to grow and expand into the powerfully magical beings we all are! In this post I hope by seeing what my process is you feel whatever comes through as your own opportunity and invitation to healing.

Today I woke up to Sheryl Crow’s song lyrics to “Everyday is a Winding Road” running through my mind like one of those advertisement banners with the flashing lights.

“Everyday is a winding road
I get a little bit closer
Everyday is a faded sign
I get a little bit closer to feeling fine”

We are the medicine

Spring is rapidly approaching and with it an energy of rebirth. In order to be reborn, parts of us need to fall away and die, change marches on, as goes the healing process. I feel a big shift is about to unfold within my life that could potentially effect a relationship most precious and dear to me. Heavy energy stemming from this loss arose this week and I faced it with patience and grace. I turned on a song that always helps me to feel these deeper emotions. Afterwards, I allowed the tears to flow, the anger to emerge and finally I felt more space and freedom. My dear readers, I implore you to allow your humanness to feel whatever YOU need to heal without judgment. Sending love throughout your vessel.

“This Women’s Work” by Kate Bush
Allowing what I feel to flow through, without judgements. Only love ❤

As my world opens up wider, further feeling the heartbeat of the Universe and my place within it, so many feelings come pouring freely out of me. From the depths of my soul through the ink in my pen, I could fill an entire notebook with the messages my guides send!

I see you my sisters and brothers, I feel you and I love you ❤

Two weeks ago I was honored to be interviewed by a fellow female artist whom I met through Instagram for her podcast, “Middle Finger Happiness”. Sharon Lee Zapata and I share a lot of the same attitudes on creativity and making the most out of what life gives us. Most especially without judgements from others aka putting up our middle fingers and carrying on no matter what! Here’s the link to our episode that was co-hosted with another creative soul, Leo Phoenix. The three of us enjoyed a fun, high vibe and very spirited chat. Shout out to my fellow artists whose journey’s continue to express their gifts through all the creative outlets of art, music and dance! May we keep rising after we stumble and using our talents to share love with others.

Truth in seeing by creating more space for the juices of inspiration to flow

Every night the app I use to create my poems, Mirakee, offers a word prompt challenge. If my soul connects to it, I tap in and write. This week I channeled a lot of what I was feeling through these nightly writing opportunities.

The prompt was “Sun” and everyone loves the Summer Sun ☀️
The prompt was to describe what success and failure mean to me, here are my musings
The prompt was to start a journal entry using the word If

I believe this message was channeled through from my Dad. Since he has passed over, I have felt him anchoring me from the Spirit realm. He is always lifting me up to face whatever challenge I’m facing. I’m incredibly humbled and honored that Mirakee named it the “post of the day” today. I write often my dear ones how my soul’s purpose as a writer and healer is to be a conduit for Spirit, to help inspire others to live their truth. May these words touch your heart and awaken your soul to be who you came here to be! I see you, I feel you and I love you all. Thank you for bearing witness to my art and expressions which is my path to healing by following and connecting with me in the comments. If this resonates with you I invite you to leave me a comment or contact me through email.

Grateful ❤

      2. 🤗🙌🌠💛 Unfortunately, when I got there it was closed, bummer 🙃 I checked the website and called too. If you’re on Instagram, I posted an IGTV video of myself reciting it under @Ladysag77…..I love performing my poems. I did two slams last year before the pandemic struck and this was my debut for 2021, hopefully they will be open next Thursday. My heart soars knowing that this poem in particular touches you. It’s very special to me because of my Dad. He’s flying with the angels now 😇

  2. I especially loved the “If I Were” poem lovely imagery and rhythm. Your word about rising even after stumbling reminded me once more of one of my all time favorite poems by Maya Angelou. You yourself, dear one, remind me so much of this poem. May it bless your spirit today.
“Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou
You may write me down in history
    With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

    Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
’Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
    Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
    With the certainty of tides,
    Just like hopes springing high,
    Still I’ll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
    Bowed head and lowered eyes?
    Shoulders falling down like teardrops,
    Weakened by my soulful cries?

    Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
’Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
    Diggin’ in my own backyard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.

    Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?

Out of the huts of history’s shame
    I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
    I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.

Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
    I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
    I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
    I rise
    I rise
    I rise.

    1. Jane 🥰 I have tears of love and joy by your comments here 🥰 Being compared to the Queen of Ms.Angelou, I am so incredibly honored! She has always been a poet, woman, legend and fighter that I have admired so. I have drank in her words my entire life. You have sent me the most fitting of her transmissions. My soul definitely resonate with every line ❤❤❤ My life has been a series of “setting the world on 🔥” after I endure a storm….it’s in my DNA. So much love and hugs to you dear Jane🤗🙌🌠

  3. First off …I love the picture of your colorful carpet ride opening with the beautiful colors to set the stage for your chosen poetry by Mirakee (a huge honor), your exquite poetry ( too many awesome ones to mention..tried to copy and paste some lines but couldn’t) and finally your dance. That was my all time favorite dance of yours (both of them) that captured your full essence of what you are processing at the moment to be transformed into the next creation of opportunity and love. Broadway here you come!!!!! This choreographed piece either planned or improvational was absolutely incredible with your whole being shinning through. I couldn’t open your podcast. Bravo to you Maria!!! 💖💖👏👏👏👏💖💖🤗🤗

    1. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback my love ❤ I just updated the post to play the podcast so try it now and let me know please 😊
My dances are always improvised and spontaneous creations of whatever I’m feeling and I am humbled by your praise. God surely uses me as an instrument in many creative outlets.
I am currently locked out from my poetry app after an unfortunate technical mishap. Technology is my nemesis 🤯 Since I carry a master healers frequency, I am like a scrambler for technology. My IT buddy jokes with me often about it, it’s a real issue. I pray I can get back on there to access all of my work. I’ve been using it since 2018 and have hundreds of poems, my entire body of work saved there. I do have them all saved but wounded to painstakingly transcribe them all instead of the quick copy/paste edit options I have in the app. I will keep you posted. If you would like to use any of my work, you have my permission.
I love to use as much color as possible 🌈🌠💗🎆🤗
Thank you so much for your glowing reviews and sweet love always 🥰🥰🥰

  4. It is amazing how you merge with all around, how you flow with the elements. You truly feel this oneness which I could feel through each poem. When you said, you are listening to particular music in order to open the dam of tears. I do exactly the same to give the process a push.
Thank you very much for sharing the meme of your quote and the shout out, I appreciate it, dear friend 💖

      1. Good words and good thoughts need to be shared. I am a herbalist myself. Dear Maria Teresa, to know the power and the strength of a Shaman. Take years of learning. I knew many Nagual in Texas and California. The Apache were kind and wonderful teachers. In my story the Earth, the water and the sky. I teach some herbal cures. Hello from Michigan.

      2. Wonderful, I believe your practice is life saving and preserving. I draw from my roots in southern Europe and North Africa. Here’s to others like us who are using natural cures that are restoring the health of humans and our planet 🙏

      3. My wife is Honduras. She taught me the old cures and my dear Ojibwa grandmother used the natural cures only. I remember her putting tobacco into milk for upset stomach. Using meat tenderizer for bug bites. Honey and vinegar for healing and pain. We must pass on the old ways. If we don’t. They will be forgotten. The pill generation are killing themselves with the many pills, they believe they need. Proper diet and meditation. Keep us young and strong.

      4. Amen to that 🙏 This is why my mentor and I, along with many other modern day shamans have vowed to honor our ancestors by passing along the healing techniques we use. Gentle, non invasive and extremely powerful. We all need to do our part to restore balance to Mother Earth. Divine feminine and Divine masculine 50/50 balance, restore harmony between humans, plants and animals. Otherwise the death tolls will keep rising, natural disasters, plagues…all of it. You are doing an awesome job of showing others how it is beneficial to heal naturally. Enjoy your day my friend 🙏

  5. I had so many other things to say as I read your post, then I got sidetracked when I skimmed through the comments! We should all be listening to the ancestors and practice natural healing, and more than anything, we should be eating natural foods! American eating habits are the root of so many problems, physically and mental health begins with what we consume! Sorry to get sidetracked😉, love you and love your positive healing spirit, keep shining sister!🥰😁✨💖😘

    1. Never apologize for authenticity my love 💓 I firmly agree! In the 21 months since my soul awakening, I have transfoin all ways and yes gone back to my roots as a dancer eating all natural. I choose togollow a Mediterranean and pescetarian diet. My ancestors are cheering me on when I make old family recipes from Southern Italy and Greece, North Africa, Spain and Puerto Rico. When I had my DNA tested for my ancestral lineage last year, the major takeaways were all the foods i gravitate to from Ty he regions that are in my bloodline. So fascinating. Love you so much Tiffany 🥰
