Testimony Tuesday

Ah, arriving at a place of peace and calm feels like reaching the top of Mt. Everest my dear readers. These past past two weeks have drawn out a lot of old mindsets, conditioned patterns that no longer serve and helped me to release fears surrounding success while peeling back another layer to self acceptance. Continually learning to embrace what is and love myself fuels my gifts of extra sensory perception to new heights flinging the door open even wider to the metaphysical realm. I must admit it’s pretty danm cool!

Today I did a bit of restructuring on the biography I use on my social media feeds. I then combined it with a short video of my yoga practice that I felt called to take today. Here it is for your enjoyment🤗

My name is Maria Teresa Pratico aka Ladysag77. I’m just a woman trying to walk this journey of life in truth. Being creative is my soul’s purpose and I achieve that through poetry, writing a blog, painting and dancing. My motto is “Triumphing over Trauma”. In 2011, I first became aware that I needed to reconnect with my soul. I started my journey of healing by 1st exploring my mental and emotional health, being diagnosed with CPTSD, which led to a more spiritual approach where I find myself today as a shamanic healer. There are many routes one can take that lead to the soul. No matter what, I never give up on myself. I can now say that I love myself and my spirit is finally free from cover. Unraveling the conditioning and programming continues to take introspection and will never cease. Life is beautiful once you decide to discover what your soul truly came here to do. Mine is to spread love and kindness. I host a blog about my journey at https://www.emotionalmusing.com and have written 3 books of poetry available on Amazon. “Emotional Musings” “My Soul’s Language” and “My Heart’s Song”  https://linktr.ee/Ladysag77

My patio has become my own personal hot yoga studio here in Southern Florida which has a year round tropical climate.  I gain so much self awareness through movement and breath. Seeing all the beauty life has to offer brings me peace and joy. These are the core values I treasure most in life.

Remember those little ducklings I posted pictures of when I first moved back here in May? Well today as I sat here by the lake guess who came swimming by? Oh my have they grown and aren’t too much smaller than their Mama now. I just adore nature and observing all of God’s creations. I have always learned through watching animals, trees/plants/flowers, the sky, bodies of water and mountain hikes. Mother Earth provides our greatest lessons in this way.

I usually post on here every 4 days so this post is a day early because tomorrow’s a big day for me. It’s my last official lesson with my teacher in the shamanic healing course I’ve been taking these past 2 months. I then will start the 10 hours of apprenticeship I’m required to fulfill practicing my healing skills during 1 hour sessions on clients before the final ritual ceremony I will create to be certified. This role is a calling, one I have felt in the background for years. I had to first heal myself, taking on the wounded healer role, before embarking upon the healing of others. Every ounce of my energy, mind, body and spirit has been dedicated to this and it means so much to me on many levels. This part of my journey has taught me more than I ever could have imagined when I first committed to it. It’s a gift and a blessing to perform this work.

Here’s a bit of news I haven’t shared with you yet my dear readers. In studying to become a shaman, my curiosity peaked about my own ancestry. I purchased a DNA kit from MyHeritage.com and the results didn’t surprise me one bit! Along with being mostly of  Greek, Italian and Iberian descent, I’m 12.9% Sephardic Jewish! I have always been fascinated by Jewish culture and I love the cuisine of North Africa. I have also been receiving messages from Spirit that tell me I was a shaman in a past life. Perhaps in one of these parts of the world🌍

My DNA results

I’ve definitely embarked upon another leg of my journey into reconnecting with my roots and I think this new (old) role of being a healer suits me perfectly.

  1. Ooooh, genealogy sounds fun! I’m 6% or 7% Cherokee, from what I’ve been told (and if you were to see a photo of my grandmother, you’d believe it!). Have fun at your last class tomorrow!!

  3. I love yoga. I just have to get back into it. I stopped a few years ago due to hip pain. I got a hip replacement but also found out I have psoriatic arthritis which is why my body always hurts. It is hard to get motivated to do anything physical when my body hurts all over almost all the time.

    1. I understand, both my fiance and parents live with serious daily pain from injuries and joint replacements. Yoga is do gentle. Even if you are in child’s pose or happy baby, breathwork is hugely transformative. A major staple of my own self healing. Sending you healing vibes my friend🙏
